A seasonal golf course worker at the city-owned Tumwater (Wash.) Valley Golf Course dumped aeration plugs into the Deschutes River.
A fisherman tipped off a reporter from The Olympian, who reported on the issue, and discovered the worker thought the plugs would benefit the river. The golf course superintendent was out of town at the time of the incident.
