Golf Course News wins six TOCA awards

The publication won awards for design and writing.

Golf Course News picked up six awards at the 17th annual Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association meeting in Napa, Calif. Among these were three first place awards.

Editor John Walsh and Art Director Andrea Vagas took first place awards in the categories of Electronic Publishing: Overall Company Web Design and Printed Magazines: Cover Page Design. They were also given the Gardner Award for Design and Publishing.

Mark Leslie won first place in Writing for Commercial Publications: Product Information Article. A Merit writing award went to David Wolff in the category Writing for Commercial Publications: Turf Feature Article.

Golf Course News won two merit awards last year.

Another GIE publication, Lawn & Landscape, also fared well. It received three first place and four merit awards.
