How and where to interact with the GCI team and find our coverage during the 2019 Golf Industry Show.


Golf Course Industry is ready to bring its creativity and industry insights to California. 
 
We will be stationed at booth #1710 Wednesday, Feb. 6 and Thursday, Feb. 7 for the trade show portion of the Golf Industry Show inside the San Diego Convention Center. Attendees can interact with members of our team and obtain copies of the third annual “Turfheads Take Over” and 84-page “State of the Industry” issues. 
 
Social media posts are strongly encouraged while visiting our booth, but we’re moving part of the celebration Feb. 6 to Aquatrols booth #3845 for #GCITweetUp19. The eighth annual gathering begins with a happy hour featuring live music at 2 p.m. and continues at 3 p.m. with GCI editorial director Pat Jones presenting the Super Social Media Awards. The event is free and open to all GIS attendees. Use #GCITweetUp19 to follow live coverage of celebration. 
 
Multiple GCI contributors will be leading presentations during the educational conference and on the show floor.  
 
Jones will be leading panel discussions on agronomic and industry topics in BASF booth #1939 throughout the day on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7. The free discussions feature some of the industry’s leading superintendents.
 Henry DeLozier is leading the “The Business of Golf – A Superintendent’s Guide” seminar from 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 4. DeLozier, a principal of Global Golf Advisors, writes the monthly “Game Plan” column.
 
Tim Moraghan is co-leading the “Event Management and Golf Course Preparation” seminar from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4. Moraghan, the founder of ASPIRE golf, writes the monthly “Outside the Ropes” column. 

Terry Buchen is participating in the free "Why Didn't I Think of That? Ideas That Make an Impact" educational session from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 4. Buchen is GCI's technical editor at-large and author of the monthly "Travels With Terry" equipment and ideas feature.
 
Matthew Wharton is participating in the free “Career Session: Real Talk on Your Keys to Success” educational session from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4. Wharton, the superintendent at Carolina Golf Club, is the author of the new “America’s Greenkeeper” column.
 
Contributors Anthony Williams and Bruce Williams are also leading presentations. Anthony Williams is teaching the “Initiating Key Management Practices for Success” seminar from 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 4. Bruce Williams is co-leading the “Negotiating Strategies for Superintendents – Getting to Yes” seminar from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5.
