Golf course architect honored with Forty Under 40 award

Jason Straka of Hurdzan/Fry Environmental Golf Design was honored by Columbus Business First newspaper.

Ohio-based golf course architect Jason Straka of Hurdzan/Fry Environmental Golf Design was honored by Columbus Business First newspaper with its prestigious “Forty Under 40” award. Business First  honors 40 of its up and coming young leaders each year. These leaders are committed to making Columbus an ideal place to live and work.

“I feel extremely honored to be among the forty under 40 to receive this outstanding award, Straka said. "Not only are these honorees in training to be the future stewards of our community, those that have received this award in the past including Dana Fry a principal in our firm, represent a virtual who’s who of Columbus. To be recognized by such an outstanding publication as Business First is a complement to not only me and the staff of Hurdzan/Fry, but also to our clients who have placed their trust and confidence in us.”

The Forty Under 40 program honors only those individuals who have excelled in their careers and in their community involvement to make a positive lasting impact upon the city. A panel of six judges individually reviewed all of the 230 plus nominations and scored each nominee on three criteria: professional development, awards and recognitions, and community involvement. The scores were then combined and the highest 40 scores determined this year’s honorees.
