Harrell’s, LLC a leading producer of custom-blended fertilizers and a distributor of chemicals and grass seed for the golf course, sports turf, landscape management and horticulture industries announced today that it will be relocating warehouse and distribution facilities from Norway, S.C. to Charlotte, N.C. The move will take place over the summer and is expected to be complete around July 1, 2011.
“We are all very excited about the opportunities to better serve our customers through this expansion,” said Jack Harrell, Jr., chairman and CEO. “Charlotte is the center of several distribution channels and provides access to an array of resources.”
The new warehouse will be expanded to a full service facility with a complete line of fertilizer, seed and pesticides. Harrell’s continues their commitment to the industry in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, as well as parts of Georgia.
Bill Chichwak, current site manager of the Harrell’s Whitestown, In. location, will be relocating to Charlotte to head up the new warehouse. Bill brings over 15 years of management experience and has been in the green industry for four years. Initially, Harrell’s plans to hire 10-15 people to manage customer needs out of this facility.
