The Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) announced the upgrading of five of its builder members.
Landirr Inc. has achieved certified builder status, while Eagle Golf Construction Inc. and Earth Sculptures Inc. have moved to builder membership. Environmental Solutions, of Yarmouth, Maine, and Tanto Irrigation, of Elmsford, N.Y., have gained associate builder membership on their path to irrigation contractor membership.
“Together, the GCBAA and builder members such as these five outstanding companies are continuing to set the standard for golf course construction both here and abroad,” said Justin Apel, GCBAA executive director.
The GCBAA has different levels of membership starting with builder applicants, followed by associate builders, builder members and certified builders. Each level has a unique set of requirements and qualifications designed to identify and recognize members who continue to strive to improve their professional standards and customer satisfaction.
In addition to the GCBAA’s staple membership categories, its recently-added renovation builder and irrigation contractor member categories enable membership equivalent to the builder level to more clearly define those areas of business.
Here’s a quick look at each of the five members receiving upgrades:
• Landirr, of Sandford, Fla., has specialized in golf course construction projects throughout the southeastern United States and the Caribbean for the last 26 years.
• Based in Fenton, Mich., Eagle Golf Construction began operation in 1989 and specializes in the remodeling of existing facilities and the construction of new golf courses.
• Earth Sculptures specializes in restoration and reconstruction of existing golf courses and operates from Indio, Calif. It was founded in 1989.
• Environmental Solutions, of Yarmouth, Maine, works on all aspects of golf course construction, but specializes in irrigation system design, service and construction.
• Tanto Irrigation focuses on installation of automated golf course irrigation systems. It is based in Elmsford, N.Y.
