Golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. was a representative from the U.S. golf industry among the invitees of business leaders and statesmen at a luncheon for Chinese President Hu Jintao in Washington, D.C. January 20, 2011. This was President Hu’s only event for the business community in Washington during his state visit to meet with President Obama.
The event was hosted in partnership with the National Committee on U.S. Relations and the U.S.-China Business Council and in cooperation with nine other organizations.
Jones's firm has designed seven courses in China.
