Ricky D. Heine, CGCS; general manager and director of grounds at the Golf Club Star Ranch in Austin, Texas; was elected president of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America at the annual meeting and election Feb. 23 in Anaheim Calif.
Also elected were vice president David S. Downing II, CGCS; golf course superintendent at Rivers Edge Golf Club in Shallotte, N.C.; and secretary/treasurer Mark D. Kuhns, CGCS, director of grounds at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J.
Robert M. Randquist, CGCS; director of golf course and grounds at Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca Raton, Fla.; and James R. Fitzroy, CGCS, director at Wollaston Recreational Facility/Presidents Golf Club in North Quincy, Mass.; were re-elected to two-year terms on the board.
Keith A. Ihms, CGCS, director of grounds maintenance at the Country Club of Little Rock, Ark., was newly elected to a two-year term as director.
Sean A. Hoolehan, CGCS, golf course superintendent at Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton, Ore., will serve on the board for one year as immediate past president. Patrick R. Finlen, CGCS, director of golf Maintenance Operations at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif., and Sanford G. Queen, CGCS, manager of golf course pperations for the City of Overland Park, Kan.; both enter the second year of their terms as directors.
In addition, all 14 amendments to the GCSAA bylaws were approved.
