Bernhard and Company has named ShowTurf its 2014 North American Distributor of the Year.
Based in Boynton Beach, Fla., ShowTurf supplies turf maintenance equipment to golf courses and sports facilities in South Florida, South Georgia, Hilton Head and the Caribbean. This is the first time the company has received Bernhard’s Distributor of the Year accolade. Show Turf was also acknowledged as one of Bernhard’s Gold Level Certified Distributors.
“The tightknit team at ShowTurf worked very hard for this award,” said Gary Ray, North America business development manager for Bernhard Grinders. “They attained exceptional 2014 sales by tirelessly relaying how our machines are crucial to optimal maintenance practices.”

Bowles, a GCSAA veteran, met ShowTurf co-owner Richard Stein in 1995 when Bowles was tapped to manage construction of Florida’s Black Bear Golf Club, a new course Stein was building. A deep friendship was forged based on mutual love of the game of golf and shared belief about how business should be conducted. The two decided to enter business together in 2005 and, after two years of searching for the perfect opportunity, purchased ShowTurf in May 2007.
