Hampton Golf acquires Fla. course

Deal includes course, club and amenities at Southern Hills Plantation.

Hampton Golf, in partnership with GreenPointe Communities, recently acquired the golf course, club and amenities at Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, Fla. Hampton Golf acquires and manages golf courses and facilities throughout the Southeastern United States and employs more than 1,000 team members, including more than 40 PGA professionals. GreenPointe Communities acquires, develops and transforms communities throughout the Southeast, including several in Jacksonville, Tampa, Brooksville and Ft. Myers. Together, GreenPointe Communities and Hampton Golf have realunched Southern Hills Plantation with home sites and new homes for sale, along with improvements and upgrades to the amenities and golf facilities.
         
Following its acquisition, Hampton Golf now oversees all aspects of the community’s amenities including golf, tennis, the pool, spa and fitness center along with food and beverage. The community’s acclaimed Pete Dye championship golf course has been recognized as one of the Top 100 of all residential golf courses in the United States by GolfWeek. The club facilities span more than 20,000 square feet and feature a grand dining room with private dining, casual and poolside dining at Pete’s Grille, PGA Professional managed golf shop, resort-style spa and fitness center and stunning veranda with sweeping views.
