Central Turf & Irrigation Supply partners with PermaGreen

Central Turf & Irrigation Supply, a leading green industry distributor, moves to strategically expand its equipment division through a recently established distribution partnership with PermaGreen. Central will be one of the few authorized dealers of the PermaGreen Triumph Sprayer Spreaders in the U.S. The distribution partnership allows Central Turf and Irrigation Supply to sell, lease, and service any version of Triumph Sprayer Spreaders. Not only can they sell the entire unit, they can sell the parts, which professionals know to be difficult to find. “This year we set out to become a bigger and better supplier of equipment to lawn care professionals, and this partnership put the icing on the cake” said Bernardo Luciano, President of Central Turf & Irrigation Supply. Central seeks to expand its equipment division by serving agribusinesses in rural areas, and more large scale property management companies.

Central Turf and Irrigation Supply is best known for its lawn care and irrigation divisions. Its former name was Central Irrigation Supply. Adding equipment to its business model brought in more revenue, and helped to set the company apart from competing irrigation-only distributors. “When I first started selling equipment, I’d have customers coming back to me to purchase other products like ice melt, and fertilizers, because they already established a relationship with us” said Anthony Luciano, Vice President of Sales at Central. Since starting an equipment division in 2005, Central TIS has gone on to carry Tenaka equipment by Hitachi Power Tools, TORO Dingos, Ariens products, and more. “Adding PermaGreen to our offering will allow me to show customers that want to provide them with the most innovative products that help them save time and money,” said Peter Cavallaro, Landscaping Champion at Central. The Triumph Sprayer Spreader allows professionals to spread seed, ice melt, and chemicals all with one machine.

The timing of the partnership is coupled with the rebranding of the Central Equipment division’s website. CentralEquipmentDivision.com has a new design layout and branding scheme. Although the equipment division’s URL is different than the main company’s URL, the equipment division is a key part of the overall business strategy. PermaGreen’s 2014 Triumph Sprayer Spreaders can be purchased from any of Central’s 38 stores in the United States and Canada.
