| Billy Casper Golf (BCG) has been selected to manage the semi-private Glen Cannon Country Club in Pisgah Forest, N.C., just south of Asheville. The Glen Cannon addition increases BCG’s portfolio to 20 in the Mid-Atlantic. In 2011, the company has assumed operation of 18 private, public and resort properties. BCG will oversee all aspects of Glen Cannon’s member programs, operations, golf course and property maintenance, sales, marketing and public relations, staffing and training, merchandising, restaurant and banquet activities, financial management and special events. Glen Cannon’s par 72, 6,548-yard golf course earns praise from golfers and media for its spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountain range and its signature No. 2 hole featuring cascading waterfall behind the green. “Billy Casper Golf will re-structure membership classifications to align with market demographics,” says Don Dickson, President of the Glen Cannon Country Club Board of Directors. “The company’s success enhancing performance of similar properties resonated with our team.” “We have a solid membership plan in place to elevate participation and attract new members,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG. “Sprinkle in regulated daily-fee play and Glen Cannon is on even better footing.” BCG will enact its proprietary “BCGreen” initiative at Glen Cannon to conserve, protect and enhance the environment.
