| Billy Casper Golf (BCG) has been selected to manage Country Club of Brewton in Brewton, Ala., twice recognized in the book “100 Best Small Towns in America.” Home to top PGA TOUR players Bubba Watson, Heath Slocum and Boo Weekly, the semi-private Country Club of Brewton is a signature Jerry Pate-designed golf course. The Brewton engagement increases BCG’s management portfolio to 22 in the Southeast. In 2011, the company has assumed operation of 17 private, public and resort properties. BCG will oversee all aspects of Brewton member programs, operations, golf course and property maintenance, sales, marketing and public relations, staffing and training, merchandising, restaurant and banquet activities, financial management and special events. “We interviewed several management companies, but Billy Casper Golf was the most qualified,” says Danny White, president of TR Miller Mills Inc., owner of Country Club of Brewton. “The company will create an exciting, inclusive atmosphere with an uncompromised level of service.” “Country Club of Brewton is a tremendous asset, and Billy Casper Golf is poised to enhance programming for members and guests,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG. “In turn, this will benefit member retention and acquisition.” BCG will enact its proprietary “BCGreen” initiative at Brewton to conserve, protect and enhance the environment. Brewton’s enrollment in the Audubon International “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” will increase efficiencies in maintenance, energy, water, pesticides, fertilizer, equipment wear and labor. Opened in 1997, Country Club of Brewton boasts an 18-hole, par-72, 7,019-yard layout with tree-lined fairways, elevation changes and two lakes which come into play.
