| Golf course specialist Barbaron, Inc. has completed the renovation of the “Suncoast Golf Center” in Sarasota, Florida. The Suncoast Golf Center is a lighted 9-hole executive public course and driving range with practice area. The total renovation of the golf course included complete greens, bunkers, tees and driving range reconstruction. The work also included a new retaining wall on the 8th green, a new irrigation system and a complete re-grassing of the entire course. Even with heavy rains during the summer the project was completed on budget and on time for a December 1 opening. Barbaron, Inc., specializes in golf course renovation, design, consulting and construction and is a nationally “Certified Builder” through the Golf Course Builders Association of America. Barbaron president, Ron Kitchen announced the completion of the renovation project which began in June and was completed in early November. The golf course renovations were designed by golf course architect Terry LaGree of Barbaron. Golf course owner Jon Bullas said “It has been a great experience working with Barbaron. Their expertise in every facet of golf course renovation allowed us to achieve our goals with the project. They have taken an ordinary Par 3 golf course and created a little gem! The addition of 8 bunkers and the new shapes on and around the greens have given us the golf course that we have envisioned since we took over in 2006. Barbaron's experienced shapers re-designed our driving range to give range users a feel of playing golf shots as opposed to just hitting balls with no thought”. With its completion Suncoast Golf Center joins the list of over 120 other golf course projects Barbaron has completed in the last 24 years. |
