Turf Republic debuts job board

New function provides up-to-date listings of job opportunities throughout the turf industry.

TurfRepublic announced it's new job board has gone live.

The job board is an innovative platform for both job seekers and employers in the turfgrass industry. Job seekers and employers are provided with a unique experience to brand themselves through a diverse set of social and technology media options that will showcase their talent and organization.

According to Turf Republic's Bill Brown, there are two types of logins for the job board, employers and users who are posting digital resumes. However, users do not have to be logged in to view the job board.  To post a job you must create an employer login from the top link.

Most users already have login credentials for TR, and these can be used to login as a job seeker or to post a digital resume.

As an employer, you can create your own company profile that is stored.  This allows you to manage your job postings, something that is also not available on job boards at the moment.  Both GCSAA and Turfnet require you to fill out a web form that is submitted.  Once your profile is in, each job you post, you will only have to add information for that new specific job listing.

Brown provided some additional job board highlights, including:

  • It's free to use, free to post.
  • The "Resume" section is the best branding tool for anyone looking for a job.  It allows job seekers or anyone in the turf community, including students  to create a great digital brand using a variety of social and technology media.  Users also have the ability to upload a resume that can be downloaded by potential future employers. No one has a platform/job board out there that  allows turfgrass industry members the ability to brand themselves like this.
  • Any user can create their digital brand and post that link to their profile within their blog or website.
  • On the resume side, TR has uploaded banners for many of the turf schools in the U.S. Users have the ability to showcase their educational background with a banner.
  • Users can upload a professional looking photo to their digital resume.
  • Both job seekers and employers can post a video on their page.  For job seekers this could be used to showcase their skill sets and what value they ail bring to a potential employer.  For employers, this could be a great sales pitch to attract talent.
  • Employers also have a unique opportunity to showcase their job openings through variety of social and technology media.  We feel this will give some of the smaller courses that don't necessarily carry name recognition, to highlight their properties and showcase what they can offer potential job seekers…..and it is free.
  • The job board is tied to many social media platforms giving users the ability to send their message out over the most current form of communication.
