Golf course specialist Barbaron, Inc. has completed the renovation of the “Fairwinds Golf Course” in Fort Pierce, Florida. Fairwinds Golf Course is a public course owned and operated by St. Lucie County.
The renovation project which was designed by Tom Fazio II, began in early June was completed on July 31st in approximately 7 weeks. The renovation project included complete greens renovation and planting with Tifeagle grass. The work also included some tee and driving range renovations and even with the very short construction schedule, the project was completed under budget.
Golf course Superintendent Chris Gamble said “We are very satisfied with the quality of Barbaron’s work at Fairwinds GC. Barbaron constructed our greens to our specifications, dealt well with our special circumstances and successfully finished the project within our short construction schedule”.
With its completion Fairwinds Golf Course joins the list of other golf course projects in the Treasure Coast area which Barbaron has completed. Those courses include, Indian River Club, The Moorings, Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club and the North, South and West courses of John’s Island Club.
