"As we approach the 20th anniversary of our Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, it's important to take the time to recognize those who have been leading the way, like the multicourse owners and operators we're highlighting today, while at the same time challenging others to take action," states Kevin Fletcher, Ph.D., Executive Director for Audubon International.  "We hope a whole new group of golf course professionals, owners, managers, superintendents, as well as the companies, associations, and organizations operating in golf, will join us to protect our land, air, and water for the next twenty years."

The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses is an award winning education and certification program that helps golf courses protect our environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf.  By helping people enhance the valuable natural areas and wildlife habitats that golf courses provide, improve efficiency, and minimize potentially harmful impacts of golf course operations, the program serves as vital resource for golf courses and there efforts to become more sustainable.
