| In a continued effort to serve U.S. customers, the Turf & Specialty Group at The Andersons, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANDE) is pleased to announce that its Professional Business Unit has expanded distribution with Tri Turf Soils, Inc. headquartered in Traverse City, Mich., and Turf Ventures headquartered in Addison, Ill. Tri Turf Soils, Inc. will become a full line distributor for the Andersons effective late July 2011. Tri Turf serves all of the lower peninsula of Michigan and the eastern half of the upper peninsula of Michigan. “Tri Turf has a strong presence in Michigan and an excellent sales force. We are looking forward to expanding our relationship with Tri Turf to provide even better service for our existing customers and earn business with new customers” says Bob Eichenberg, Director of Professional Sales for The Andersons. In related business, Turf Ventures has designated The Andersons as its primary supplier of premium fertilizer, combination, and control products for the golf and lawn care markets and has become a full line distributor of The Andersons products in all of its locations. The expanded relationship now includes The Hill Company, which has offices in Erlanger, Ken., and Indianapolis, Ind., and serves Kentucky, Central Indiana, and Southwestern Ohio, as well as B & C Turf, LLC located in Warsaw, Ind., which serves Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan. “The Andersons is an excellent supplier of high quality products and has a firm commitment to customer service.
