FarmTek announces expansion of Dyersville facilities

The company expects that this expansion will allow for the creation of 100 new jobs.

FarmTek is expanding its Dyersville facilities with the help of a $750,000 Community Economic Betterment Account grant from the Iowa Department of Economic Development.  The company is planning to construct a 160’ by 320’ manufacturing facility to substantially increase production space for its growing line of ClearSpan Fabric Structures. The company expects that this expansion will allow for the creation of 100 new jobs within the next three years.

The new, state-of-the-art facility will house machine tools for manufacturing ClearSpan Hercules Truss Arch Buildings. It will give FarmTek the capacity to increase production of these structures fourfold.  Construction will be completed this fall.

This expansion is prompted by the continuing rise in popularity of these structures.  Consumers and businesses alike recognize the advantages provided by fabric structures, including the low cost, quick turnaround, green construction and sustainable design.  Not only do owners of fabric structures benefit from less expensive up-front costs, but they also experience significant savings in energy consumption in their structures over time, which can pay for the building itself.

With its line of ClearSpan structures, FarmTek offers design-build solutions for many industries, including agriculture, equine, recreation, public works, manufacturing and waste management.
