The 2013 Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) membership directory is being shipped to members this month. In addition to finding the latest contact information for golf course builders and suppliers in the directory, members can now view much of the same information via the association’s newly-launched mobile web application.
“We know our members aren’t always sitting behind a desk with easy access to our membership directory when they need answers fast,” said Justin Apel, executive director of the GCBAA. “Our mobile application now allows users to get the information they need delivered in real time directly to their mobile device.”
The application can be accessed by visiting m.gcbaa.org from any mobile device and is free to use. Unlike other mobile applications that must be downloaded and updated manually, the association’s application updates automatically whenever it is accessed. The mobile web application allows users the opportunity to view up-to-date member information in addition to other GCBAA resources, including:
• Company data
• Company projects and awards
• Member advertisements
• Upcoming events
• Online event registration
The GCBAA's 2013 Membership Directory contains a comprehensive list of the more than 350 members of its organization and includes both national and international builders and suppliers. The directory is segmented by membership type to ensure easy reference for users. The directory highlights all GCBAA members who have met the selective guidelines and requirements for GCBAA certification and also features comprehensive reference sections that lists allied associations in the golf industry, equivalents, formulas and estimations related to golf course construction.
The directory introduction includes a history of the GCBAA, highlights of the GCBAA Foundation, descriptions of member classifications and requirements. It also lists the companies currently meeting certification requirements.
All GCBAA members were mailed an initial 2013 membership directory free of charge. Members can purchase additional directories for $50 each and non-members may purchase copies for $100 by contacting the GCBAA office at 402-476-4444 or through the GCBAA online store at www.gcbaa.org.
