While in the field, Cimino has accumulated ample experience growing and constructing championship-quality courses in multiple areas, including Ohio, Virginia, St. Louis and Texas. Cimino's industry credentials include a bachelor of science in turfgrass science and minor in construction systems management from Ohio State University; Certified Golf Course Superintendent (GCSAA – Golf Course Superintendent Association of America); and elected board of directors, treasurer and vice president of Central Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association. Cimino has spent 17 years in the industry.
“Turf maintenance is my life. As a previous Superintendent, I know the issues, the hours, the schedules as well as the feeling of accomplishment of delivering high quality turf,” Cimino said. “In my new role, I want to help Superintendents in the field overcome their turf challenges and achieve healthy turf they can be proud of. And in my experience, CIVITAS is the best product for the job.”
As part of his new role, Cimino will be responsible for providing technical support for the southern states and handling golf courses and turf in the warm-season region.
