New Q4 Plus from PBI/Gordon Corporation is now registered in the state of California. Q4 Plus contains 0.75 lbs./acre, a 50% increase over Q4 Turf Herbicide, the corporations first product containing quinclorac. Other product components - sulfentrazone + 2,4-D + dicamba – have not changed. Registration was received on April 28, 2010.
With Trimec Plus no longer available for use on residential and commercial turf, Q4 Plus offers a single product control option for grassy and broadleaf weeds and yellow nutsedge. The product also gives visual results within 24 to 48 hours.
The EPA approved the new label in December 2009 and state registrations are now complete. The product is available in 1-gallon, 2.5-gallon and 30-gallon drums. The 1-gallon size is not restricted in California since the 2,4-D and dicamba are less than 15%.
