| LebanonTurf is introducing Proclamation Creeping Bentgrass, a versatile bentgrass variety ideal for fairways, tees and greens, with a complimentary sampling program for golf course superintendents. Proclamation is a low-growing bentgrass with medium shoot density and aggressive lateral spreading characteristics that promote turf quality and resist scalping. Proclamation develops excellent turf quality despite lower nutritional needs. In NTEP trials at Virginia Tech, Proclamation was top ranked for dollar spot resistance on fairways. The newly developed variety also has shown strong resistance to anthracnose and copper spot. In development for eight years, Proclamation follows LebanonTurf’s introduction in 2004 of Declaration Creeping Bentgrass, which is one of the industry’s leading varieties for high-quality turf and dollar spot resistance. For a limited time, LebanonTurf is offering superintendents a complimentary sample of Proclamation (and other LebanonTurf bentgrass varieties) for evaluation.
