Following two years of golf course usage, testing and input from superintendents, Turf Max, LLC has made important updates to the 2013 Turf Screen with Enhanced Solar Protection product label and application rates.
“Previously, our Turf Screen with Enhanced Solar Protection label provided rates for individual grass species only and included a broad 7- to 21-day application interval,” explains Scott May, president and founder of Turf Max. “Now that we have two years of data and input from superintendents who actually use Turf Screen on their course, we have updated the label to include both a 7-day and 14-day application interval on greens, as well as separate rates for greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and roughs.”
Even at reduced application rates, Turf Screen with Enhanced Solar Protection still maintains sufficient UV and solar protection.
“The new labeling allows golf course superintendents to further reduce their operational expenses, provide better playing conditions and improve turf quality during extreme weather conditions,” says May.
