Billy Casper Golf (BCG) has been retained by Plymouth Township in suburban Detroit to manage Hilltop Golf Course. BCG will oversee all aspects of operations, course and property maintenance, marketing and public relations, staffing and training, merchandising, clubhouse, food and beverage, financial management, golf instruction and special events. Hilltop will be enrolled in the Audubon International “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” program, ensuring high standards protecting the environment and preserving the natural heritage of golf. Results include efficiencies in maintenance, insurance premiums, energy, water, pesticides, fertilizer, equipment wear and labor. “We’re excited to partner with Billy Casper Golf,” says Richard Reaume, Supervisor of the Plymouth Township Board of Trustees. “The company has a solid track record providing enhanced experiences for golfers and strong financial returns for municipalities.” “Improving course conditions, customer service and amenities will help Hilltop achieve ‘local-favorite’ status,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG. “Area golfers will take even greater pride in this golf course.” The engagement increases BCG’s portfolio to three courses in Michigan and 35 in the Mid-West. The company also operates municipal courses in Chicago; Cook County, IL; Tulsa; Cincinnati; Philadelphia; Anne Arundel County, MD; Knoxville, Tenn.; Troy, Mich., Prince William County, Va., and Wilmington, Del. The 18-hole, par-70, 6,009-yard Hilltop Golf Course is a classically designed layout playing through stately pines and rolling hills. With some of the most challenging greens in the area, Hilltop offers distinct challenges to golfers of all skill levels. |
