LebanonTurf recognizes "Dog of the Year" winner

Presents check for $3,000 to Central New York GCSA Chapter

Milly got the votes, but her owner, golf course superintendent Kyle Erdige, and the Central New York Golf Course Superintendents Association received the checks on Tuesday as LebanonTurf recognized the winner of its 2010 Dog of the Year contest.

Erdige is the superintendent at Hickory Hill Golf Course in Baldwinsville, NY, a member of the Central New York GCSA and owner of the blue Weimaraner voted Dog of the Year by superintendents at the 2010 Golf Industry Show.

The seventh annual Dog of the Year contest was sponsored by LebanonTurf and presented by Golfdom magazine. Milly was chosen from among the dogs selected to appear in LebanonTurf’s 2010 Dog Days of Golf calendar.

John Hunt, technical sales representative for LebanonTurf, presented checks of $500 to Erdige and $3,000 to the Central New York chapter during an event at Stonehedge Golf Course in Groton, N.Y., on Tuesday.
