Paul Drain, Jacobsen’s former program manager who worked on the launch of the Eclipse 322 greens mower and R311 rotary mower, has been promoted to director of product management.
He will report to Martin Levy, vice president of sales and marketing and will lead the product management, technical support and training teams at Jacobsen’s headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.
His previous experience includes positions in operations and materials management and continuous improvement with Textron Automotive, where he worked from 1992–1997. He joined Jacobsen in 2004 as manager, purchasing and production planning and in 2007 entered the Textron Six Sigma Black Belt Program achieving Top Gun status in 2008.
Drain accepted the position of program manager in 2008, and has been working on the Eclipse 322 and R311 product launches. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Middlebury College and an master’s degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
