Creative Sensor Technology announces the addition of two new flow sensor sizes to expand its FSI Series flow sensor offerings.
The 1 inch sensor—Model FSI-T10-001 has an operating measurement range of 0.25/fps - 15 fps, equivalent to approximately 1 gpm to 50 gpm in 1 inch SDR 21 (Class 200) PVC pipe.
The 2 inch sensor- Model FSI-T20-001 operates over the same measurement range of 0.25/fps - 15 fps, equivalent to approximately 3 gpm to 160 gpm in 2 inch SDR 21 (Class 200) PVC pipe.
All FSI Series flow sensors feature pipe socket ends for direct welding into PVC piping systems. They are designed to Schedule 40 specifications and are rated to operate in pressures exceeding 200 psi.
FSI flow sensors are designed specifically for water measurement in delivery, treatment and control applications in closed pipe systems. They utilize a rotating impeller to detect velocity in a custom inline housing molded from Type 1 PVC (polyvinylchloride) material. The two-wire flow sensor output is a digital square wave proportional to flow. The sensor signal may be interfaced with any control device capable of supplying 8 to 24 VDC power to the sensor and receiving a 0.3 to 200 Hz. input signal. The flow signal may be conducted by a shielded twisted pair cable up to 2,000 feet without amplification.
Features designed into the FSI Series include;
- A precision molded electronic housing and flow body that provides a more defined, low turbulence flow path
- A small, light weight impeller and bearing
- Microprocessor based detection circuitry
- A single large retaining nut attachment for the sensor assembly to the housing.
These elements result in very repeatable flow measurement, low velocity flow detection, easier serviceability and more moisture resistant construction.
Both sizes along with the 1 1/2 inch Model FSI-T15 are in stock and available for immediate delivery.
