Aquicare wetting agent optimizes irrigation efficiency

To help turf managers maintain healthy grounds, WinField has developed Aquicare wetting agent to enhance irrigation practices. This wetting agent has been specially formulated to prevent localized dry spot conditions and rehydrate water repellent soils.

“Water is a valuable commodity for maintaining healthy turf. Sometimes irrigation and precipitation alone are not enough to keep plants healthy. Wetting agents can play an important role in managing water levels in the soil” said Aaron Johnsen, product manager, WinField. “That is why we developed Aquicare wetting agent to ensure water gets evenly distributed throughout the soil and not retained at surface or below the root zone. Aquicare wetting agent is a safe, nonphytotoxic product that helps reduce watering requirements to maintain turf quality and avoid turf loss. Its formulation provides preventive and curative relief by reducing the surface tension of the water droplets to make water “wetter.” This helps improve infiltration of the water, which means less evaporation and runoff and more efficient use of irrigation water.

Aquicare wetting agent is specifically designed to resist excessive water retention at the soil surface while maintaining optimal moisture levels in the root zone to provide a firm, healthy playing surface.
