J.J. Mauget Co.announces an improved formulation of Imicide

Improved Imicide formulation provides more rapid insecticide movement for faster knock-down of target pests.

J.J. Mauget Co., the pioneer and leader in micro-infusion tree care, announced an improved formulation of its popular Imicide insectide, resulting in more rapid effectiveness in the control of invasive pests such as the Emerald Ash Borer and Asian Longhorned Beetle.

“Mauget is committed to finding new, as well as improving existing chemistries to best serve the unique needs of the Arboriculture market,” said Nate Dodds, president of the J.J. Mauget Co. “Our new Imicide formula is proof of our commitment because we took one of the most effective EAB control treatments and made it even better by improving water compatibility.”

Easily recognized by its violet color, Imicide’s new formula offers improved water compatibility, which has been shown to more rapidly move the insecticide within the tree’s vascular system. As a result, end-users can be assured of faster and more effective treatment of the pests Imicide works to control.

Since 2000, Imicide has been used both by the USDA and state governments for Asian and Citrus Longhorned Beetles protection in quarantine areas. In addition, research shows that Imicide is one of the most effective preventative and control treatments for the Emerald Ash Borer.

The improved Imicide formula will be available in Fall 2010.
