E-Z-GO has renewed its long-time sponsorship agreement with PGA Tour player Vaughn Taylor for the fifth consecutive year.
Taylor, a veteran of the PGA Tour, was raised in E-Z-GO’s hometown of Augusta, Ga., where he attended Hephzibah High School and Augusta State University. Taylor was an honorable mention All-American during his senior season at Augusta State, and turned professional in 1999. He is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour and represented the United States as a member of the 2006 Ryder Cup team.
Taylor’s family also has ties with E-Z-GO, as his mother worked at the company for 18 years.
“E-Z-GO is pleased to continue its support of professional golf through our partnership with Vaughn,” said Mike Parkhurst, vice president of golf at E-Z-GO. “He has strong ties to the Augusta area, and we are very appreciative of his support of not only our business, but our community as well.”
“Having the support of E-Z-GO throughout my professional career has been very rewarding, and I’m delighted to continue to represent the company on the PGA Tour,” Taylor said.
Per the sponsorship agreement, E-Z-GO’s logo will appear on Taylor’s headwear during the 2012 PGA Tour season, and he will make appearances at events throughout the year.
