LEBANON, PA - In response to the overwhelming success of their innovative Country Club MD (Maximum Dispersion) greens grade fertilizer, LebanonTurf will debut four additional SGN 80 greens grade products and one SGN 125 tee and fairway grade product this spring.
In answer to feedback from customers worldwide, the new Country Club MD greens grade products will contain phosphorous for superintendents who want to include P in their greens nutrition program. The company is also launching a new micro mid-grade, SGN 125 Country Club MD product designed for better performance on today’s tees and fairways maintained at a low height of cut.
“Today's superintendents are being asked to lower the height of cut on tees and fairways for longer ball roll,” said Chris Gray, marketing manager of professional products at LebanonTurf. “We found that SGN 150 sized particles do not perform well at those lower heights, especially when the canopies are even tighter with the use of growth regulators. The new SGN 125 product fills a need that wasn’t being met.” Gray added that Lebanon Turf plans to introduce four additional SGN 125 products in fall of 2014.
Introduced in 2013, Country Club MD’s highly dispersible, homogeneous SGN 80 particles contain Meth-Ex methylene urea slow-release nitrogen that promotes healthy turf throughout the growing season and stress-buffering biostimulants of sea plant kelp meal and humic acid. It’s formulated to melt into the canopy and provide consistent and predictable turf response. Country Club MD also gives superintendents the ability to incorporate biostimulants in their management program without making separate applications.
