Xylem introduces Flowtronex brand Oasis EX pump

Next generation controller delivers increased efficiency

Xylem Inc., a leading global water technology company focused on addressing the world’s most challenging water issues, announced its new Oasis EX pump controller from its Flowtronex brand at the 2014 Golf Industry Show (GIS), held February 5-6 in Orlando, Fla. The simple yet high performing controller was on display at Xylem’s booth, #3120.

The Oasis EX delivers modern features, such as remote monitoring, Web-enabled controls and advanced water measurements, to ensure efficiency in pump stations. Specifically engineered for retrofitting existing stations, the unit is an easy, cost-effective replacement to old pump controllers.

“With more than 30 years of experience in the irrigation market, we’ve learned our customers want products that are increasingly more efficient, making their businesses more profitable,” said Mark Heuchert, global aftermarket manager, Flowtronex, Xylem Applied Water Systems business unit. “The Oasis EX delivers on this front and ensures our customers are maximizing water and energy efficiency, while reducing operating costs and increasing productivity.”

The pump controller delivers quality production by hitting on four key points:

•Energy efficiency: Oasis EX enables the user to control a high efficiency variable frequency drive (VFD) to optimize energy use, while maximizing the motor and pump life.
•Efficient water management: The controller delivers high-level control over resources and ensures efficient water use. By monitoring daily flow rates, superintendents can rest assured that overwatering will not occur.
•Eco-friendly and economical operations: Courses that use granular fertilizer can significantly reduce water use by switching to the Oasis EX fertigation system. Cost savings of up to 50 percent can be realized on fertilizer and chemicals, while the system significantly improves the health and quality of the turf and soil.
•Enhanced troubleshooting: The unit includes the most advanced and simple-to-integrate operating system on the market, and details fault history, parameters and indicators. The intuitive design can be navigated quickly using a color touch-screen or fully-equipped numerical keyboard.

Flowtronex systems are manufactured using top quality components and processes, and are Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL)-listed. The brand has installed more than 15,000 pump stations worldwide and its experts provide an extensive customer service offering.
