Social media helps golf superintendents communicate with the players and board members, letting them know what’s going on with the course and giving them a way to see there’s a good reason for that frost delay. Last year, Golf Course Industry recognized superintendents who were using social media exceptionally well to keep others updated and share changes and developments on the course.

Last year, we gave Pat Jones a megaphone led our first TweetUp right outside the showroom floor. This year, we’ve brought it inside to the Aquatrols booth (#2231), who partnered with us to once again recognize superintendents who are social-media savvy. Come by the booth at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to be a part of the conversation and meet other superintendents and researchers offline, as well as enjoy some cold beverages and music. During the TweetUp, we’ll be announcing the winners of this year’s Super Social Media awards, including the coveted Kaminski Award for Social Media Leadership.

Don’t forget to tweet at us with the #GCITweetUp13 tag on Twitter to let us know you’ll be there!
