John Deere’s 7200 PrecisionCut Trim and Surrounds Mower, the 7500 E-Cut and 8500 E-Cut Hybrid Fairway Mowers recently received the AE50 Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. The AE50 honor recognizes companies for their innovative developments in the agricultural, food and biological systems fields.
As an industry leader, John Deere Golf strives to provide products and support that create advancements for turf maintenance professionals, as well as growth for the golf industry as a whole. The award winning 7200 PrecisionCut and both E-Cut Hybrid Mowers feature some of the most recent technology John Deere has developed exclusively for superintendents and their maintenance crews.
The 7200 PrecisionCut Trim and Surrounds Mower is designed to maximize operator comfort, ease of use and productivity by allowing the operator to change mowing width quickly, right from the seat, without tools or additional parts. In addition to the Width-on-Demand feature, this mower also has a Reach Trimming System which allows the operator to independently shift cutting units right or left for trimming out bunkers, tree lines and other hard to reach areas.
John Deere was the first to bring hybrid mowers to the golf industry, and the line-up of E-Cut Hybrid Mowers are designed to give professionals a mowing option with the advantages of an electrical reel system while having the operating power of a gas or diesel machine. The electric reels allow these hybrid mowers to produce a consistent quality of cut while virtually eliminating the chance for hydraulic leaks in the reel circuit, saving up to 30 percent more fuel at half throttle and reducing sound levels.
“Providing innovative product and meeting best in class standards is a top priority for John Deere Golf,” explained Mike Koppen, golf product marketing manager at John Deere Golf. “It is a great honor to receive the AE50 Awards, and truly shows that John Deere ranks among the most distinguished leaders of innovation in the industry.”
The engineering team for the AE50 award-winning products, including Ron Reichen, Jim Roach, Dick Their and Brian Pearman accepted the awards on behalf of John Deere Golf at the ceremony in Orlando, Fla. held in January.
