Agriguard added Greg Freyermuth to the company’s sales team as Regional Sales Manager. In his new role, Greg will coordinate and support sales and marketing efforts for Agriguard’s MultiGuard Protect product line, a new contact nematacide currently registered for use on golf course greens and tee boxes.
“Adding someone of Greg’s caliber to the MultiGuard Protect team is an incredible opportunity for Agriguard,” said Jonathan Myers, Vice President, Agriguard. “Greg’s depth of sales experience, combined with his technical skills and strong relationships in the golf industry will play a significant role in expanding MultiGuard Protect’s customer base and further building our relationship with Direct Solutions.”
Direct Solutions, a division of Agrium Advanced Technologies, is the exclusive North American distribution partner for MultiGuard Protect, which is designed to offer golf course superintendents a proven, effective solution for nematode control.
Prior to joining Agriguard, Greg worked with in a senior management capacity at Scotts Professional Seed, a division of The Scotts Company. Freyermuth has worked in the turfgrass industry for the past 25 years, where he began as a golf course superintendent and then moved into marketing fertilizers, chemicals, and most recently, turfgrass seed.
Freyermuth has also been a Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg) since 1993, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from the University of Kentucky.
Freyermuth assumes his position immediately, and will be based in Central Florida.
