Benson Construction Co. and Grassi Enterprise advanced to associate builder membership status by the Golf Course Builders Association of America. Associate builder members are required to have held the general contract on a minimum of one golf course or the equivalent within the last five years and conduct business within the United States.
Located in Tifton, Ga., Benson Construction Co. has been building and renovating golf courses for over 18 years. The company has the capabilities of completing all phases of golf course construction. In addition to building golf courses, Benson Construction also produces Georgia certified turf grasses, sod and sprigs.
A very unique golf course construction company, Grassi Enterprises is headquartered in Howell, Mich. The company is owned and operated by a sole owner but is large enough to handle any size project and conduct work on multiple projects at the same time. Owner Dan Grassi takes a "hands on" approach through all phases of each project in an effort to reduce client costs.
The GCBAA has different levels of membership starting with builder applicants, followed by associate builders, builder members and certified builders.
