GCBAA names executive director

The Golf Course Builders Association of America appointed Paul J. Foley as its new executive director.

Lincoln, Neb. – The Golf Course Builders Association of America appointed Paul J. Foley as its new executive director.

Foley joins the GCBAA from the Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association, where he has served as vice president for the past five years. Prior to working with the associations, Foley worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 34 years – retiring in 1999.

“I know that Mr. Foley will bring a different perspective that will have a positive impact on the growth and success of the Association,” Tom Sasser, president of GCBAA said.

Foley says his focus will be on the membership.

“I will be able to utilize my business and association experience to help the GCBAA offer the best services to help them grow,” says Foley. “Associations must be member driven, and I look forward to working with the membership to determine their needs and translate that into services GCBAA will provide.”

Foley is a graduate of Niagara University with a degree in economics and a minor in marketing and advertising. He and his wife Judy have four grown children and three grandchildren.
