Banyan Tree at Corniche Bay is a new Foster + Partners development on the west coast of Mauritius, due to be launched in early 2008. The centerpiece of this luxurious development overlooking Le Morne Mountain will be an 18-hole Gary Player Signature golf course.
Situated on a dramatic site where a volcanic mountain meets the Indian Ocean, the golf course will be surrounded by breathtaking villas, as well as a Banyan Tree boutique hotel & spa on the water’s edge.
Each property, designed by the world-renowned architects Foster + Partners, will be nestled in tropical gardens with uninterrupted views of the ocean – boasting spectacular sunsets every evening. And, congruent with Gary Player’s ecologically sound approach to golf course design, Lord Foster’s philosophy seamlessly and attractively blends architecture with the natural surroundings.
Design work on the golf course has been completed and construction is scheduled to commence later this year.
