Monroe Township, NJ. – Forsgate Country Club made several key appointments in the club’s golf, membership and dining departments.
Long-time Forsgate Country Club assistant golf course superintendent Tom Saunders has been promoted to the position of golf course superintendent following the retirement of veteran Bob Ribbans. Saunders worked side-by-side with Ribbans for 18 years and was a pivotal force in elevating the status of Forsgate’s Banks Course to one of the Garden State’s most celebrated tracts. A 25-year veteran of Forsgate’s maintenance staff, Saunders now supervises a staff of 35 and is responsible for preserving and upgrading Forsgate’s 36 holes of golf (Banks, Palmer Courses), overseeing clubhouse landscaping and creating the annual flower design, maintaining budgets, and supervising maintenance employee training.
A native of New Jersey, Saunders currently resides in Helmetta with his wife Tina.
Membership
Mariann Loch joins the Forsgate Country Club Membership Department in the newly created position of membership sales associate. Loch comes to Forsgate from LaFontana Ristorante in New Brunswick. Her sales experience is extensive and includes stints as a sales manager with Toll Brothers (Laurel Creek Country Club) and at Cherry Valley Country Club during their initial residential home sales development.
At Forsgate, Loch will be responsible for recruiting new golf members to the club, interfacing with catering and outings clients, and current Forsgate Country Club members. In addition, she will develop an on-going relationship with local area business and corporations as well as serve as liaison between Forsgate Country Club and area real estate agents.
Food and beverage
Forsgate Country Club, a recent Wine Enthusiast Magazine Award of Distinction honoree, hired new director of food & beverage Det Williams to its dining department. In this position, Williams supervises the hospitality staff and is primarily responsible for menu development, purchasing, staff training and service enhancements.
Williams joins Forsgate from Matrix Development, where he served for eight years as food & beverage director for two country clubs and most recently as general manager of Ashbourne Country Club in Philadelphia. Williams spent 10 years with the Marriott Corp. where he served as the food & beverage director of the Marriott’s Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite, Calif.
