Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, N.J., completd two major golf course projects: a unique re-routing plan of its traditional 18-hole Palmer Course and an enhancement plan for its legendary Banks Course. In addition, Forsgate has added a new short game practice area adjacent to its existing practice facilities and has doubled the size of the club’s putting green to provide unparalleled golf amenities for its thriving membership and to position the club as a potential host site for future professional golf tournaments.
In the spring of 2007, RDC Golf Group (RDC), owner and operator of Forsgate, retained noted Golf Course Architect Stephen Kay to supervise this multi-faceted project. One of the principals of the Stephen Kay – Doug Smith Golf Course Design company, Kay recently worked on the award-winning Architects Club (Lapatcong, N.J.) and Scotland Run Golf Club (Williamstown, N.J.).
Forsgate will formally unveil the new golf course improvements, the short game practice area and the expansive putting green to the club’s membership in the spring of 2008.
