DeLozier will join Global Golf Advisors’ resort and residential consultancy practice with an emphasis on developing investment strategies for international funds and helping clients leverage their golf facilities as beneficial amenities, according to Stephen Johnston, managing principal.
“Henry has been one of the most respected leaders in our industry for more than two decades. His unique understanding of asset management, appreciation and investment strategies will be a tremendous benefit to our clients and our firm,” Johnston said. “In addition, Henry will strengthen our service levels and add value for our clients through his real estate and industry knowledge and experience."
“Global Golf Advisors has a strong and proven reputation for helping clients maximize their golf assets in order to realize specific investment objectives,” DeLozier said. “I will contribute to that work and to our clients’ success.”
As head of Pulte Homes’ golf portfolio, DeLozier oversaw the development of 27 courses in 10 states and created the homebuilder’s business strategy of integrating golf assets as value-adding amenities within the company’s national real estate holdings. Pulte, based in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., invested more than $500 million in golf assets under DeLozier’s leadership.
DeLozier has 25 years of experience in the golf industry following his days as an All-American golfer at Oklahoma State University. He was president of Resort Management of America, which provided facility management and consulting, from 1987 to 1999, before joining Del Webb Corp. as vice president of golf operations. When Del Webb was purchased by Pulte Homes in 2001, DeLozier was named vice president-golf of the real estate developer’s golf division with responsibility for courses, systems and intellectual properties.
DeLozier, who will continue to be based in Scottsdale, Ariz., is currently the president of the National Golf Course Owners Association and serves on the Employers Advisory Council for the PGA of America and the GCSAA’s Strategic Communications Committee.
