Landscapes Golf Management has been selected to operate Foothills Golf Club in Phoenix.
The multi-year engagement leverages Landscapes Golf Management’s best practices in agronomy, vertical and horizontal construction, marketing, sales, financial management, golf and clubhouse operations, food and beverage, merchandising, staffing and training, and additional functions.
“Resulting from a national search for an operator, we felt most comfortable with Landscapes Golf Management,” said Michael Ennabe, managing member of AZ Management and Investments, a subsidiary of club owner Ennabe Properties. “The company’s vision for Foothills Golf Club squarely aligned with ours.”
Ennabe also cites Landscapes Golf Management’s data-driven diligence and benchmarking across club revenue centers, service culture for employees and guests, and strengths in food-and-beverage, turf management, purchasing power and special events.
“Owners trust us because we focus on the fundamentals — good people, good processes and measurable results,” Landscapes Golf Management president Tom Everett said.
The upscale Foothills Golf Club opened in 1988 and anchors the Ahwatukee residential community just off the 202 beltway south of Phoenix. The 6,900-yard, par-72 daily-fee golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Moorish traverses 165 acres of desert-style layout and includes four sets of tees, 65 strategically placed bunkers, and a collection of difficult par 3s framed by rocky desert backgrounds. Signature holes include No. 6, a drivable par 4; No. 8, a par 5 sporting a downhill fairway that leads to a green guarded by water on the right that loops beyond the putting surface; and Nos. 13 and 14, which hug opposite sides of a lake.
Golfers can hone their skills at an expansive practice area with a driving range, a short-game area with two putting greens, bunker and chipping green. The clubhouse includes The Bunker Lounge and its golf simulators.
