FMC Corporation has announced an exclusive supply agreement with Nisso America to market and sell Picarbutrazox fungicide for use in the golf market. Picarbutrazox is a new mode of action fungicide for control of Pythium diseases. EPA registration is anticipated in 2021 and FMC expects to formally launch the product at the Golf Industry Show in early 2022.
“Picarbutrazox novel fungicide complements FMC’s growing portfolio of solutions developed to assist superintendents in managing their courses,” said Naimur Rahman, strategy and business development manager for FMC.
“This new fungicide is FMC’s third in as many years and represents our commitment to delivering solutions to the golf market,” said Mike Sisti, marketing manager for FMC. “We are very pleased to grow our strategic relationship with Nisso and bring a new MOA fungicide to address Pythium diseases in turf.”
“We are excited to partner with FMC. Their proven record of success in T&O market makes FMC the perfect partner to represent Picarbutrazox, our newest active ingredient in the US,” said Shane Barney, deputy director of sales & marketing for Nisso America. “With a new MOA and excellent efficacy on Pythium diseases, Picarbutrazox will offer a much-needed solution for golf course superintendents.”fmc
