FMC showed appreciation to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in many ways at the recent GCSAA Conference & Trade Show. Promotions featuring the company’s “Give Back to Local Chapters” program generated donations for those GCSAA local chapters — nearly $30,000 in all. A “Give Back to Local Chapters” appreciation dinner at the Oceanaire restaurant drew hundreds of attendees.
“We were thrilled with the level of activity all week at our booth,” North American marketing manager Mike Sisti said. “We had a golf simulator that allowed course superintendents to raise “Give Back” checks for their local chapters. We also combined that with overall participation by chapter to add to the totals.”
The top 10 golf simulator participants earning “Give Back” checks were the North Texas GCSA, the Connecticut Association of GCS, the Carolinas GCSA, the Michigan GCSA, the Alabama GCSA, the Ozark Turf Association, the Metropolitan GCSA, the Northern Ohio GCSA, the Heart of America GCSA, and the GCSA of South Dakota. The top five were awarded additional funds for highest number of members participating from each chapter.
FMC also featured a “Kalida Scream” selfie at its booth. (In case you missed it, the humorous homage to Norwegian painter Edvard Munch is pictured above.) The winner of that drawing was Mike Bellino from the Central Florida GCSAA chapter.
The FMC True Champions program is a source for golf course superintendents and managers to access product rewards and product assurances. It also supports industry initiatives and associations like the GCSAA, We Are Golf and RISE.Latest from Golf Course Industry
