FMC Corporation received registration approval from the state of California, enabling the official commercial launch of Durentis insecticide, a proprietary technology providing season-long protection from above and below ground-chewing pests, including all species of grubs and fall armyworms.
Durentis is a highly concentrated formulation, offering the lowest use rates in its class and requiring only a single application for season-long control. Durentis is fast-acting, providing a zone of protection around the roots along with systemic properties allowing for upward translocation. These physical properties allow Durentis to move into turf quickly without the need for excessive irrigation.
“We continue to get a lot of turf customer input about Durentis, and customer input is exactly what led to its development in the first place,” said Mike Sisti, FMC’s North America marketing manager. “This new innovation is the direct result of customer conversations that were shared with FMC’s R&D team, which led an expedited solution in Durentis and continues to guide a robust discovery and development pipeline.”
FMC is involved in the golf, lawn care and pest control professional solutions market. Its portfolio of fungicides, herbicides and insecticides provides turf and ornamental growers, golf and lawn care professionals, and pest management professionals differentiated solutions designed to help promote healthy turf and plant growth while efficiently controlling pests.
