The Florida Turfgrass Association announced its 53rd Annual Conference and Show would be at the Hyatt Coconut Point, Bonita Springs, Fla., Sept. 11 through 14. This year there will be free admission to the trade show to the general public Sept. 14. There are many opportunities to obtain certified education units for all aspects of the turf and landscape industry.
The FTGA invites those in the industry, as well as homeowners and gardeners, to attend the show. There will be dozens of exhibitors representing the turfgrass industry and trade professionals will benefit from numerous training workshops. This year’s concurrent sessions, pesticide training workshops and equipment training provide education points and are taught by academic, research and technical experts.
The show kicks off Sept. 11 with a fishing tournament to raise funds for turfgrass research. On Sept. 12, there will be an all-day class for pesticide certification. Also on that morning, there will be half-day workshops, with the annual golf tournament and a turf and grounds tour that afternoon.
Concurrent sessions are offered in the morning on Sept. 13. The subjects include: landscape maintenance, sod production, parks and recreation, sports turf, what’s new in turf? and golf turf. The trade show grand opening will be at 1:30 p.m. after the awards luncheon.
Concurrent sessions will continue on various subjects Sept. 14. The trade show will be open at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 1 p.m.
The Florida Turfgrass Association conducts its annual conference to update trade professionals and the general public about the latest developments in the turfgrass industry.
