Florida golf club retains CK Golf Partners to manage design

CK Golf is a newly formed affiliate of KemperSports.

Owners of Providence Golf & Country Club recently announced their selection of CK Golf Partners, a newly formed affiliate of Northbrook, Ill.-based golf management company KemperSports, to manage operations of the central Florida championship layout located in Orlando near Walt Disney World and other world famous attractions.

Providence Golf & Country Club, a budding 2,200-acre gated master-planned community in Polk County, is a product of ABD Development, a leading Orlando-based community developer and custom homebuilder. Upon completion, the property will feature more than 4,800 luxury homes. Golf course architect Michael Dasher steered the design of Providence’s semi-private, links-style course. Surrounded by scenic topography including sparkling lakes, the par 72 is slated to open later this year.

Complementing the golf experience is an elegant 8,000-square-foot clubhouse, complete with a state-of-the-art golf shop, full-service restaurant, lounge and banquet space. Providence also offers a complete practice facility, featuring a driving range and putting green. Additional club amenities will include two swimming pools, a fitness and aquatic center, lighted tennis courts, a playground and walkways. As part of its environmentally conscious design, more than half of Providence will be designated greenspace and conservation areas.

“We are thrilled to have Providence and CK Golf as part of our national portfolio,” said KemperSports president and c.e.o. Steve Skinner. “Providence has the potential to become one of the premier family recreation and golf communities in Florida.”
