Floratine Products Group continues its 2007 Floratine University program with its upcoming event in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, March 27 and 28.
The Niagara Falls Floratine University is a cross-border event, and is expected to host more than 150 attendees from both Canada and the United Sates. Featured speakers include:
- Joseph Vargas, Ph.D., Professor of Plant Pathology at Michigan State University – Summer Stress Syndrome; Bentgrass Decline
- Gerry Byrne, Director of Grounds for the K Club – Preparing for the Ryder Cup
- Carmen Magro, Director of the Golf Course Management Program at Penn State University – Organic Matter Management in Root Zone Systems
“Floratine has a strong commitment to research, studies and testing,” said Kevin Cavanaugh, vice-president of North American golf for Floratine Products Group. “Through our Floratine University program, we are able to share our findings and promote educational opportunities for turf professionals at the same time.”
Attendees at each Floratine University event earn 0.8 education points toward their GCSAA certification. At four-fifths of the annual GCSAA renewal credit requirement, Floratine University events provide superintendents more credit points than any other similar option.
