Floratine Products Group continues its 2007 Floratine University program with its upcoming event at the Hilton Del Mar in San Diego, Calif., on July 30.
The San Diego Floratine University will include presentations from the following special guest speakers and industry experts:
- Joseph Vargas, Ph.D., Professor of Plant Pathology at Michigan State University
- Paul Latshaw, CGCS, Muirfield Village Golf Club
- Carmen Magro, former Director of the Golf Course Management
- Program at Penn State University and Senior Agronomist for Floratine Products Group
- Rick Holanda, Superintendent, Rancho La Quinta Country Club
“We strive to bring industry experts to our University events,” says Kevin Cavanaugh, senior vice-president of North American golf for Floratine Products Group. “Learning from experts who are applying their knowledge in their profession is important for up-and-coming turf managers and superintendents.”
In addition to the chance to interact with industry experts, attendees at each Floratine University event earn education points toward their GCSAA certification. Floratine University events provide superintendents more credit points than any other similar option.
